Blended learning is one of the hot topics in language teaching at the moment. In this week’s webinar, Daniel Lowe, Head of English at UNITEC in Honduras, shared some of the lessons he’d learned while implementing Cambridge’s Touchstone blended learning solution for its 20,000 students on five campuses.

You can watch the webinar recording in full below, but here are some results from a follow-up student survey that Daniel shared with webinar attendees. Some of them may surprise you!

  • 72% of students preferred regular deadlines during the week to one weekly deadline.
  • 85% of students enjoyed their face-to-face class more with blended learning.

BUT

  • 98% of students still wanted the teacher to explain everything in class, even after they’d seen the lesson content online.
  • 89% of students felt it was important to have a printed copy of the textbook in addition to online materials.

To find out Daniel’s thoughts on these results, watch the whole webinar below. And why not share your own ideas and experiences in the comments?
