What’s the most difficult trip you’ve ever had to make to get to class? My grandfather used to walk a mile through the fields every day to get from his farm to school back in the 1920s, but that seems like nothing compared to the journeys some students have to make today.
It’s good to get your learners thinking –and talking – about the difficult journeys some of their fellow students round the world have to make to get to school. You can do that with this free lesson plan taken from our new course THiNK. This lesson will develop your learners’ empathy by getting them to think about the importance of education, and the struggles and sacrifices many children have to make to get to school.
