In this webinar, Ventures authors Sylvia Ramirez, Gretchen Bitterlin, and Dennis Johnson take a look at new worksheets teachers can use to implement College and Career Readiness standards from lower to advanced levels.

Sylvia begins by citing recent shifts in standards for English language learners. These new standards highlight skills that learners need to be college and career ready, as well as function successfully in their community.

Citing evidence is one skill that the new standards require. Sylvia describes how citing evidence can be taught and reinforced at different levels and highlights similarities and differences in the exercises.

Gretchen and Dennis cover activities centered on building vocabulary, using academic language, and comparing texts, followed by Sylvia explaining how to access all of the practice worksheets.
