Do you have experience of teaching English to learners with specific learning difficulties? Then we want to hear about your experiences! Take part in our short survey to help us create more effective and inclusive learning and teaching materials for your classroom.
What are we doing?
Cambridge is working on a collaborative project with Dr Judit Kormos of Lancaster University. The aim is to find out how best to assist teachers in meeting the needs of language learners with specific learning difficulties (SpLDs) such as dyslexia.
We know that SpLDs can affect between 5 and 15% of the population. This means that language teachers need to be equipped with the right tools and strategies to make sure all learners are included and learning English to their full potential.
The team are working to develop better learning materials and research-based teacher guidelines to support the teaching of languages to learners with SpLDs.
What are we asking for?
We’d like to hear about your experiences so that we can identify the key areas for development. The survey asks you to answer some questions about your experiences, and share your thoughts on how materials can be improved to meet the needs of your learners.
The survey shouldn’t take longer than 10 minutes and is open until 22nd March 2020.
